VekiQantas
Hi all, I have OCD and health anxiety and during last talk with my gp we agreed that I should take ssri...he prescribed me Zoloft. I have experience in the past as I was using Cipralex for 6 months and only side effect that I had was weight gain...approx 30lbs. So what is your Zoloft experience and what are most common side effects! Link to comment
PolarBear
It's easy to Google Zoloft and find out the possible side effects. Weight gain doesn't seem to be one of them. Link to comment
VekiQantas
Thanks PolarBear...next to this I am very concerned about sexual function. I checked Google and must say that majority of things that I saw are really scary!! Link to comment
PolarBear
Every drug out there has a long list of side effects. Most of them are rare. Very common for ssri's is loss of libido. Link to comment
VekiQantas
Thanks....I used in the past cipralex for 6 months and had no side effects at all except weight gain..30lbs...so that is the reason why we decided to change it to Zoloft...I hope that this will be the same ... Link to comment
taurean
As PB says, loss of libido seems fairly common with SSRIs - my Citalopram affects me a little that way. Re weight gain, I have put on some weight recently - but it's not connected to my drug -more the fact that I have been feeling so much better and consequently really enjoying my food - I am now cutting back on portions and frequency, plus looking for low sugar low fat content.
