Tulsas
So ive just started Prozac. ...3rd day today and there's a beer festival with the guys at work....my Dr said it's ok to have a couple of drinks but no more and that it wouldn't affect the flouroxtine. .....is this true? Link to comment
jimangie1973
Yes that's true. Just don't overdue it or you may have bad anxiety the next morning. Beer festival is a rough environment for light drinking. Link to comment

Avo
Hi, I am on Fluoxetine too, and when I asked my doctor about drinking before I started on them her advise was, "in moderation but don't have a skin full! " if your in the early days and still getting used to it and the side effects I think it best to abstain at least until your over the initial adjusting period. As has been said a beer festival would be quite a big introduction to drinking when starting fluoxetine. I do drink now and again, a glass of wine with a meal or the odd pint occasionally, I think for mental health generally it's best to not drink too much though. Link to comment
Tulsas
Agghhh. ..I did go and have 6 beers... feel ok...anxiety might hit me later but I'm more worried if it's affected the Prozac. ....only been on them for about 6 days Edited August 12, 2017 by Tulsas Link to comment
PolarBear
Put your mind at ease. You'll be fine. Keep taking your meds as prescribed and at the same time everyday and get on with your day. Edited August 12, 2017 by PolarBear Link to comment
