I don't have, as such, an OCD hoarding issue, but I understand it well, having been carrying out, with my wife, a very significant downsize around our move to a bungalow in the Midlands. 

I must have done around 50 hatchback carloads to the recycle centres, and given away loads to charity, before we moved and am still carrying on the process since, some 17 full carloads to recycling since we came here, and loads of good stuff to the local charity shops. 

And there is still a lot more to get rid of. 

What we have learned is the more you do, the easier it is to let go of that feeling that you may need that item, you need a spare, it's not replaceable etc. It's those objections that we have to overcome. 

So keep going Skullpops, it gets easier.
