Running Lover
ME too. I feel for you. People say get out the house. I have. People say stop googling. I have. People say try and forgive yourself. I have. Still nothing. No quality of life. Can’t seem to find a way to feel better. Link to comment
ecomum
The thing that helps me in this situation is getting busy. I'm not out of the woods yet, but keeping busy seems to be helping the most. Link to comment
PolarBear
Ocdsufferer, you have suffered from this current episode for five-plus years. You just started therapy. It's going to take time. Months at least. And a lot of hard work. Try not to be discouraged. Recovery is a marathon, not a sprint. Link to comment
lostinme
A good thing someone told me a while back was that there is no such word as can’t if everytime we said I can’t do this I can’t do that etc we would give up before we even started. See it as I don’t seem to be improving much? what can I do differently ? Hopefully this will help you as much as it helped me Link to comment
ocdsufferer85
Having a bad day. Had a few weeks of feeling alot better then last night I suddenly couldn't see the rational and it started again. Today it's a mess Link to comment
Isthisreality
That seems to be typical for people with OCD. Flare-ups happen. The optimal solution is to see it as a challenge and go through it. You were obsessing pretty bad in the past. It is great that the last weeks have been better for you! Are you in therapy and are you still working with it? I mean it is great because you were pretty deep down, if it is the therapy who have made you better that is excellent! ocdsufferer85
Still in cbt. Just feel like it comes back worse and I can't imagine getting to the bottom of it again Link to comment
PolarBear
I suspect that regardless the work you've been doing, you are still intent on figuring out exactly what happened in that one moment. True? Link to comment
