taurean
I think from checking Google it will be 7th to 13th October 2018 Tez. I am going to wear my "Just a thought" lapel badge or wrist band and talk about OCD locally and see how I might help any "sleeper" sufferers otherwise afraid to talk about their fears. Many thanks! Tez Oops, that was wrong... edited now. To be honest we are promoting OCD Awareness Week this year, but primarily through online social media and local press here. We also came up with a new idea for October last week, OCDtober for an entire month of awareness raising. We will be starting very subtly this year, with plans to build for next year. https://www.ocduk.org/ocd-awareness-week/ and https://www.ocduk.org/ocdtober/ Link to comment
taurean
I am supporting it by wearing my OCD-UK lapel badge and/or wristband and taking any opportunities to open discussion about OCD. I am getting well-known in the community as someone who has OCD, and absolutely no-one has been anything other than sympathetic, supportive and willing to learn more about the condition. And it is I suppose unsurprising, given the stats, as to how many people have friends or family who they think might have OCD. Link to comment
taurean
I will be out and about in the community this week so will wear my badge and/or wristband with pride and see where that may lead awareness-wise Link to comment
