nemesis02
Dose any one know if ocd shows on a brain scan? and is worth having one from years of taking antidepressants and antipsychotic drugs? Edited December 8, 2018 by nemesis02 Link to comment
dksea
An MRI may, under the right circumstances, show differences between brain function in person with and without OCD. However it will not typically provide any useful information on how to treat a person with OCD. Unless your doctor recommends an MRI for a particular reason it would probably be just a waste of time and money on your part. Link to comment
Angst
I have had a number of MRI scans of the brain over the years having a number of psychiatric diagnoses including OCD. I was declared to have a normal brain. Link to comment
PolarBear
What would be the purpose of having an MRI? Are you looking for reassurance that you have OCD? Link to comment
