Hopingtorecover
I know this won’t apply to everyone but my ocd is contamination, in particulate currently about having threadworms because I am pregnant so cannot take medication. This dominates my thinking and decision making. Today I am wondering if it would be better to just have them than worrying about having them all the time. Does that make sense? Link to comment
Angst
OCD is defined as an anxiety disorder in which we worry about things that might happen. If you are like me you tend to catastrophise. You imagine, in the context of your obsessions, that very terrible things will happen. I understand where you are coming from. You would be certain and you could address the actual physical problem. But with OCD, you would likely to latch on to a particular feature or start obesssing about another health concern. So stopping OCD would be the best thing. Are you experiencing any compulsions such as checking? Link to comment

PolarBear
The ruminating and worry you put yourself through is likely far worse than that which you fear. Typical with all forms of OCD. Link to comment
