working through contamination issues and setbacks I've been having regarding compulsions of over-washing

Small victories for me this week--

washed dishes without bleaching them even though there was red stuff on them that was probably food but i feared was blood

washed clothes that i thought might be 'contaminated' along with hand towels, without prewashing anything

didn't take shower after seeing some blood on my hand that was probably my own, but feared it could be someone else's

if anyone else wants to post their victories, big or small here, feel free! it would be highly encouraging to me to read about others facing their fears as well and making some gains!

leif, not small victories at all, an inspiration for others. Give yourself a pat on the back. :clapping:

I hope others who keep fighting shy of doing exposure and response prevention work read this post leif. It's always frustrating to see their "reasoning".

Because you are doing exactly what you need to do. And taking it at a sensible pace.

Small steps will lead to giant leaps in due course. It will take what time it takes to get there, but you'll do it.

Well done! These are not small victories, you're doing big things here by facing your fears and not letting OCD dictate your life. It'll pay off without a doubt!
