Tagging of users

Can I ask users to please refrain from tagging users in a thread (i.e @Ashley ) unless that user as already entered the topic and actively posted.

I have seen quite a few posts of late where someone has tagged users asking them to reply, which I understand the desperation for good advice, but it is unfair on those people, they may be having a bad day or not feeling great and are suddenly under pressure to have to reply. It's also not how the forum works, the forum works best when someone replies because they have something helpful to add to a discussion, rather than when they feel pressured to reply.

As the new forum software does not allow me the ability to turn the tagging off, this is a polite request to ask we are mindful and respectful of other users.
