troof
Say I left the door open and it bothered me, if I chose not to succumb to the OCD and say go play on the computer for instance, when I'd play the game somewhere in my mind I'd feel uncomfortable and sometimes I don't even notice that feeling but it's there alright. And when I'd go to sleep I wouldn't even have a nightmare that's directly about what bothered me earlier, but, I'd still feel bad during my sleep, it's not like a nightmare when you're fully aware of the discomfort, but it's there, and it'd usually worsen my sleep and make me move around a lot and what not. That's **** to be honest. I've come a very long way fighting with the ocd, and boy did I fight. And luckily I did get rid of many rituals, but it seems I just can't get rid of that problem, because in order to fight the OCD you have to be aware of the fact it's OCD in the first place, but sometimes it's hard to spot and identify yet it's very easy to have it ruin your day and effect your life on a daily basis. Handy
Rituals are symptoms not the cause. If you pull top of a weed off it just grows back. Treat the cause. Link to comment
