Ashley
Sorry you're feeling so low. I am guessing (hoping) this statement is how you feel, rather than what you truly desire? It's understandable to feel this way when OCD takes us to the extreme and we are low. So what's making you struggle right now? You mentioned struggling for weeks, with what? Specific OCD thoughts or something else? I am also interested by your username, 'ban the thoughts'. Understandable name and I think we have all wanted to get rid/ban our OCD thoughts at times, but the reason I bring this up is to just check that the approach you're taking to deal with your OCD is not to actually stop/ban the intrusive thoughts? Again this would be understandable, but from a therapy point of view is counter-productive and could help explain the struggles. Anyway, I hope you're getting the right help and support and you're soon doing better. Ashley Link to comment
paradoxer
I thought the same, about the name, perhaps better to be 'accept the thoughts'. OCD loves being taken seriously. Link to comment
