BBC soap Doctor's covered OCD again today.  It wasn't obvious at first where they were going but bravely (and some would find shockingly), they covered magical thinking & harm thoughts.  It started with someone with  an apparent gambling problem but whose gambles were with himself and that if he didn't carry out gambles (compulsions) & win, his family would be harmed......or rather he would have to harm them.  The Doctor (a recovering gambler) identified the problem as severe OCD.  I suspect it's a storyline to be continued.
