Guest Common_Night-Owl
Most of these aren't opinions, but mere dislikes. To not like coffee is not an opinion. :-) Or how do you argue and debate about that? Do you not drink coffee out of some principle? By the way, methinks that American football should be called American rugby. (This is an opinion.) On 31/03/2020 at 02:36, taurean said: Social media - I have things I'd rather be doing. Taurean provides lots of support on this forum, and also receives support and encouragement when needed. The socialising is an added bonus. He does not use this like social media. Link to comment

(Sorry, sir, but I 'had' to say that.) Thank you storm for putting the issue so succinctly. Yes there is an element of socialising here, but it is good to do so with fellow sufferers, especially now in a lockdown situation. And by using these special forums which Ashley has created we can raise our spirits collectively. Link to comment
Guest Common_Night-Owl
'Storm', why did you quote my entire reply, when it was the immediately previous reply to yours? I haven't said that he doesn't do that too. But he also uses this forum to socialize, almost exactly like it would be done on a socializing site. Link to comment

It’s just easier than faffing around trying to highlight one line Link to comment
Guest Common_Night-Owl
Well, because I've seen many people do that, in this and other forums, and it only clutters a thread, especially when the quoted replies are long. And now I exit this topic. I'll leave you return to your game. Link to comment
taurean
We can't impose our own perceptions on other forum users, night owl - we have to loosen up a little. I have an aversion personally to trying to wade through blocks of text in posts, when it is easy to periodically hit the return key. But I have to, in the best spirit of things, simply let that ride. Though the comparison, one could say, was a bit exaggerated, because no one posts personal pictures here or writes extensively about their private life (but I haven't seen the sub-forums that are only for members). Hey, I don't have much of an appreciation for socializing sites either, but for a different reason: because they typically make me anxious ("What should I post?", "How will they respond or react?", "Have I made myself understood correctly?", "Will anyone respond?", "Did I make a good impression?", "Will that person who I have an infatuation with notice me?"). I wouldn't/don't recommend them. It seems that the very way they're designed to function makes their use unhealthy. And now I really exit this topic. Sorry for the disruption. Here are three of my 'unpopular dislikes': • 'Socializing' sites. • Songs with vulgar lyrics. • Pets kept in the house or apartment. Link to comment

I find it derivative and lazy, it relies on randomness and non-sequitur flashbacks/side gags rather. Also every single character is beyond annoying. And just not a fan of Seth MacFarlane in general. But thats just my opinion, you can like it if you want Link to comment
BigDave
1. I also don’t think Family Guy is that funny. 2. Rhubarb 3. Strictly Come dancing/Dancing with the stars (aside from the attractive ladies) 4. Avatar was overrated. 5. Ryan Giggs was not the greatest ever premier league football. 6. Bad boys are overrated. 7. Shaving your chest is not manly. 8. Star Trek is better than Star Wars. 9. seeing your underpants is not cool. 10. Daniel Craig is an average actor ! Link to comment
