Your lockdown song...

Recommended Posts

There's this lockdown thing that apparently your song is whatever was number one on your 12th birthday (why 12th I have no idea). I just checked mine, how apt... Foreigner - 'I Want To Know What Love Is' (great song though).

"Wonderful Land" by The Shadows.

The Shadows were the backing band to Cliff Richard, with Hank Marvin on lead guitar, but I don't remember this song.

But you may have heard of their "Apache" and "Telstar".

Foreigner's song was brilliant and they were one-hit wonders with it.

This is a great song for a lock down boogie

Ha it’s not bad for a dance around the kitchen. But it always reminds me of the end of Shrek 2 (great film!)

also how good was the giant gingerbread scene, I need a hero!

For me, it has to be 'Faithful' by Go West. It's about loved ones being parted and promising fidelity but also for me personally, it means staying faithful to myself, despite the doubts of the religious OCD. It's like a comfort and a weapon.

Mine is Spaceman, by Babylon Zoo. Considering how many times I've been to space it fits me perfectly

I bought that song after hearing it on a Levi’s advert!

Just a small aside.

Two other great songs that were one-hit wonders. Whiter shade of pale by Procol Harem, and Africa by Toto.

Africa by Toto always reminds me of scrubs!
