The best thing to try is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, preferably with a therapist, although you can do it on your own. There's a great self-help book called Break free from OCD that I recommend too :)

In general, the key to therapy is learning that the behaviours we do in response to the thoughts make our OCD worse.
