Chris2020
Hello, Is an intrusive thought the same as an intrusive feeling? For example you can have a thought that bothers you and you know exactly what that thought is. However is having the feelings of guilt and fear but not sure why your having these feelings the same as intrusive thoughts? Also can an intrusive thought/feeling hit you at a point in your life where you have never experienced fear and guilt like this ever before. Because I have never experienced an episode like this before it makes me feel like this is not OCD as only now this episode has affected me really bad. What I'm saying is can out of nowhere your brain flick of a switch do this to you? I believe I've had OCD for more than 29 years checking/counting etc but could deal with it but this has knocked me for 6! Hope this makes sense. Link to comment
PolarBear
Chris, an obsession is an intrusive thought, feeling, impulse, urge or sensation. So the answer to your question is, yes! Link to comment

Every experience you have is new at some point or another. OCD sufferers can and do have new fears, new worries, new intrusive thoughts/images/feelings. Totally normal (for us at least).
