Carts
Hi, i hope you are all doing okay! I am just after some advice really. I have been taking 10mg of citalopram for a week now and my mood has definitely worsened, I was aware this could happen. Yesterday was pretty scary, however I am feeling slightly better today. I am currently speaking to a therapist and will be going through cbt as well, however I am just wondering about others experience on citalopram or srri as a whole? I took this previously for anxiety and it helped but I am wondering if anyone can explain how meds can help with the process? I understand these do not work for everyone but I have had success with cotalopram previously Thank you! Link to comment
PolarBear
Very common for your anxiety to rise in the early days of taking an SSRI. Give it time. Link to comment

Captain Trips
Meds can't get rid of the problem but they can definitely help give you enough relief to engage in therapy. Don't give up on a medication too soon, give it time for the side effects (anxiety being one) to subside Link to comment
