Marklake
I’ve always done this...but it’s getting worse. When I get into bed, I completely change. So if I wanted to go use the bathroom I’ll need to change again, and change back when I get into bed. I just find all of that a lot of hassle. I’m not sure how I can stop this habit. And it’s not just that. I can’t use a bathroom right after someone. I find it really dirty. So sometimes I would feel like I’m in pain just waiting for a toilet. Has anyone else had this problem? PolarBear
Well, the truth is, there is no problem. You absolutely can use the bathroom without changing and you can go after someone else. You choose not to. Like all sufferers, you put faith in your intrusive thoughts, played along and now do a bunch of silly, pointless compulsions. All that has done is reaffirmed in your mind that the thoughts are true when they are really a pack of lies. Start undoing what you've done. Tell the thoughts to take a hike and stop doing the compulsions. You will at first feel uncomfortable but the longer you stand up to OCD, the easier it becomes. Link to comment
daja
I use a pee bottle sometimes so I don’t wake up a family member in the next room especially when they have to get up at 5:30am for work. Link to comment
