Yes it’s a good book. It was the first book that I read about OCD because it was recommended by a OCD charity and subsequently by a therapist. I like the vignettes in it where they provide brief stories about patients who suffered various types of OCD. I could self identify with them. The same content is provided in Break Free From OCD. The only real difference between the two books is that Overcoming OCD uses more of a technical vocabulary than Break Free. Interestingly, Veale and the authors of Break Free are employed in the specialist treatment centres for OCD in London or Oxford.

I haven’t! I might look into it, I’m interested in finding helpful books too. Does anyone else have book recommendations?

Another that's very good is 'How to Deal with OCD' by Dr Elizabeth Forrester. I found it to be very accessible. Well worth a read:)

I like this one too :)

It's fab isn't it. I like the holistic way the topic's tackled...looking at our overall wellbeing, not just the obsessions/compulsions. I honestly think it's helped me the most:)

Has anyone ever read Obsessive compulsive disorder for Dummies?

I see they have other related titles, which might be helpful to some.
