lily17
i was just browsing the web and someone said if you chat on dating apps such as tinder when you have a partner it's cheating and i agreed to them then realised back in 2018 i remember i had a tinder account and i was chatting with a guy just friendly chatting i swear there was no flirting then i started dating someone else i remember i replied to some message to that other guy and deleted the app and im so worried about that even though it was a regular chat like you could have but it was on a DATING APP so im suffering right now so much Link to comment
Bismah OCD-UK Volunteer
Hi Lily17, OCD is currently trying to latch onto your relationship and how you're this 'bad person' for speaking to someone on tinder. You are also engaging in a compulsion called mental reviewing where you are looking for an event in the past to prove you're not a cheater. That is classic OCD. You want to feel relief but unfortunately that does not help, instead it only fuels our OCD. What's important is that you don't engage in this compulsion. The event really does not matter but how you react to it does. Be compassionate with yourself, you are doing the best that you can Are you taking any medication or seeking any therapy for your OCD?
