How long does it take…

For a compulsion to leave you alone! My OCD is trying to get me to Dr Google, which is not only counterproductive but I’ve looked up the same stuff a hundred times, but it’s raising my anxiety and it won’t leave me alone.

I don't think there is a specific answer to that Phili, but in my experience the only way I get doubts/anxiety to leave me is to confront them sometimes.  So depending what your OCD fear is, lets say you have a fear you have an illness and might get ill/die... instead of looking google symptoms I would try and say to myself, 'ok I have symptoms and I will probably be dead tomorrow' almost sarcastically to myself.   The key is to truly have some belief in yourself to 'take the risk' in what you say in that scenario. 

Are you still having therapy?
