  1. Hi Summer, Sounds like you’ve been doing really well so don’t let this affect your progress if you can. It’s normal to have dreams especially if on new medication. We all have dreams which we don’t understand.
  2. Apologies I was just trying to be supportive
  3. The reality is, we change as we get older. I didn’t realise I had OCD until I was 30. When I look back I cannot believe I didn’t realise. Whilst I am unable to relate to your situation, I’d try to no over think (easier said than done). I guess what I trying to say is the future is full unknowns so try and go with the flow.
  4. Sounds like your previous experiences have really affected you. It’s could that you want to do something positive and I would recommend therapy as I cannot tell you how much it’s helped me. Also, there are some useful books which could help. Hope you find something which works for you
  5. I have doing really well through daily CBT exercises and have never felt better. But, I am now having dreams about obsessive behaviour and wondered if this was normal?
  6. This is my first week where I’ve had no therapy, I have struggled today, but survived. Hope everyone is doing ok
  7. Hopefully today will be a better day.
  8. Alcohol and OCD are not good. Maybe give it up for a while whilst you look to find coping mechanisms
  9. Doing ok, the sun is shining and feel ready to deal with the day ahead
  10. You’re so right regarding being able to recognise intrusive thoughts and learning to manage. It takes a lot of strength and I find the need to do mental exercises each day otherwise I start to relapse. Have a great day
  11. I moved house before the pandemic and had the biggest meltdown ever in front of everyone so know how stressful it can be. Let it go and focus on enjoying your new chapter in your new home.
  12. That’s useful to know, I keep waking up at 4am
  13. Morning, sounds like you’ve been through a lot and you shouldn’t beat yourself up. I can only speak from my experiences, but I have had several periods in my life when I’ve had therapy and felt deflated afterwards and would eventually relapse. Earlier this year I had a massive relapse and went back into therapy, the difference this time for me was accepting that there isn’t a magical cure for me and I have to find a way to live with it. Since this recent realisation I have been doing daily mental exercises and feel more optimistic about the future then ever before. anyway, appreciate we are all different and I hope you find what works for you.
  14. Absolutely, today feels like a regular Saturday which is all good. Looking forward to MOnday
