      Now this is "all or nothing thinking" Phili. Maybe some things you do are wrong, might have been done better ; but we all do that, we cannot always be right - at best we can likely expect to get things right maybe 85% of the time.

  3. Woke up at eleven to a very loud crack. The window behind my head has cracked from top to bottom. This frightened Anne who then peed all over the sofa. So now we have no sofa and a cracked window.

      Report the window to the landlord to get fixed - and he may have insurance that might cover it.

      The council will fix the window but the sofa has had it.

I get in trouble for over buying at Christmas but he doesn't look at the list, I have to do it all myself, you can't moan at someone for buying too much when you don't take any responsibility for it by even bothering to look at the list. I didn't tell him the multiple buys because when reading the list out It is always hurry up, hurry up I did my best.

      Sorry to hear your feeling so down phili, but unfortunately it's part of this terrible disorder we live with. Try not to ruminate over your thoughts because this inevitably makes your depression worse. Try not to engage in them, let them pass on by unnoticed if you can.

  17. What a week, phew

    Tuesday was the physio

    Wednesday was the psychologist

    Thursday was the nutritionist 

    Friday was the lady from HUTS, a befriending service. 

    Its nice having people come and go.

  18. My homework is to do with the loo, I see this as my first very frightening experiment. I am going to need some support I think.

      I too had a bad patch yesterday with some unpleasant anxiety. I did exactly what ladybell is advocating - went into relaxation mode and switched my focus away from potential ruminating - in fact I read a brilliant summer book for several hours. Result? It broke the anxiety cycle, put a spoke into that anxiety wheel .

      Personally, I'd say when you're driven to eat like that, resist.....a bit like resisting a compulsion.  When you're not that bothered, have one....occassionally.  Just not all the time

    Is malt loaf and fruit loaf OK?

      Thanks everyone, had a bit too much chocolate yesterday though. I have been buying fruit cups but I have found that I don't like strawberries much but I do like grapes.

      Yes, she gave me a booklet and set me the challenge of weening myself off of fizzy drinks and told me what to buy in each food group.
